Both are sweet! Love the black on black with the splash of red on the SNXG17 and the Ice Monster really used the blue/white on silver to create a great color combo too. Congrats.

Very cool.
You just can't beat the value and quality Seiko offers. You simply can't find a more honest watch out there for that kind of money, especially from a company that matters to the horological world.
Congratulations.

A fine couple of "chips" if I do say so myself! Congrats Mark! May I compliment you on your fine taste, sir?
Love the SNZG17 black-cased field watch. Is it anodized or a coating?
Ice Monster is really cool!

Wow, you've got one heck of a collection going there! Well done, Mark! Enjoy in good health! CHIP, I absolutely LOVE the Monster. Amazing that they were able to design such a good watch and price it as they did. Everyone should have one of these in their collection.

Ice Monster is really cool! tempusfugit. Thanks Brad I believe it is PVD. It's brushed on top and gloss on the sides and back. Here it is on our favourite strap. BTW the lume is great, indices and numerals glow.

The vendor refunded me on Friday and lo and behold Murphy struck and it showed up Monday. In the meantime I had decided to purchase the Monster after seeing Brad's post. I believe I I have a well rounded Seiko collection with 4 divers, 1 alpinist, 1 field watch and the kinetic. A dress watch from the SARG line may be in order, and a solar chrono, and a........

In my opinion it's money well spent, Mark! These things last a lifetime and the same can't be said for much else these days. Also, watches are rather useful for the folks like us who actually rely on them still. I can't live without a watch, I feel naked and lost. Sure, our phones display the time but that's more of a backup for me. Nothing beats being able to check the time in a more subtle manner.
What I typically do is wear one watch all day long at work etc. Then come home and change into another one for the evening and shower in it too both at night and in the morning.
I'll eventually add some more Seiko watches to my collection. It's such a nice feeling and these super nice ones you don't see at the typical mall jewellery store are SO much nicer than the stuff they sell for top dollar there. The main thing is you're enjoying the heck out of these watches so being the enabler I am, get those other ones too!

Wonderful new watches Mark! Seiko can't be beat for value! I might have to shamelessly follow suit and pick up both of these for myself!
