Hey guys and gals, I got my bonus earlier than expected but it's not enough to fund the PAM 643. The only watch I can flip that will get me there is my SM300 and I'm torn. I don't wear it a ton, but I do love the sword hands. I have some other stuff on Craigslist FS that I'm not using, but that will still leave me $1500 - $1800 short after it all sells. I might be able to flip the Aerospace for that, but I wear that even more than the SM300. My other option is to bank the money and wait until next year or buy the Zenith Type 20 bronze, which was my 2nd favorite watch from Vegas but I'm not sure I'd wear as much as the PAM. Ugh, decisions, decisions. Not sure which way to go here. Thoughts? PS - If you read this on Tapatalk, please go to the web version of the forum and vote - there's a poll associated with this thread.

Tough choice! I love the look of the Zenith, but I have always liked the look of pilot watches. I personally wouldn't flip the aerospace, you wear it a ton and it seems to be one of your top daily choices.

Yeah I was thinking the same. As tough as the wait for new watch could be at times its worth it in the end.

Has everyone got the flu? What? No enablers here? Dang, you guys are a sensible bunch! I can't see selling the Aerospace - it's my go to watch for outdoor activities and when I don't want to set the time on another watch. It does get a lot of wrist time. If I wait, the price of the 643 is likely to come down too since right now it's limited to Boutiques only, although I know a grey dealer who currently has a new one for about 16% off.

I'm always up to enable Roger. I personally wouldn't sell the Aero. I would flip the Omega if anything. Also, don't settle for anything. Get your #1 choice or don't get anything at all

You use the aero way too much, flip the sea master.

Understanding how hard it would be to part with the seamster, it sounds like you really want the PAM, and I personally would not sell the aerospace, I voted to flip the Seamaster!

I say bank the loot and wait. I think you'd regret selling the SM. What are the odds of finding another one in that condition?
FWIW I got my bonus today, a couple of K more than I was expecting ;-). My boss (The real one, not the one I work for) makes me invest it in retirement savings. I'll be using the tax refund to invest in Swiss metal products in the late spring....

I just tried on the Zenith while at Heathrow and I must say it went to the top of my list.

I just tried on the Zenith while at Heathrow and I must say it went to the top of my list. It has an in-house movement too, where the Panerai uses the OP X, which is a modified ETA.

Yup, Zenith is one of the most award winning companies out there. I don't even think they offer any watches with outsourced movements.
The duty free price was 4200 GBP and she said that a discount would be possible. Too bad there is absolutely no way for me to afford one right now.

Man this would be hard to part with. Man, I understand your dilemma about this one. The prices of these things are going up rapidly, and no doubt you could get really good bucks for it. But, you might also not get the chance to have another one, they are becoming so rare. Especially, from what I see, the No Date. On the other hand, you can always get a new Aerospace.
