It isn't until March 7th for me but it came early this year. Had to do my 30th big! Got this watch and I bought Spectre on Blu-Ray to watch on the 7th! Here are some pictures: Bought it from my friends store in Yorkville (a swanky area in Toronto). The watch is mint BUT he gave me a bunch of Rolex accessories for free. He knows in a collector and I might even end up selling some items on eBay and forums through him as a supplier. One of the other clients there collects Ferrari's so we all had a nice little chat and shared pictures etc. This same guy was on the phone with someone to close a deal on a $400,000.00 car! I tried on the Submariner ceramic and saw a $280,000 Patek Philippe watch there as well! This early Birthday gift to myself couldn't have turned out better! So happy to finally have the watch I've always wanted, and without flipping anything! All of my watches are life long keepers. Carl's gift (the 1963 Seamaster) made me more sure of getting this.

Congratulations buddy, and early happy birthday to you!
That's one tough watch, the 7750 base inside will last for generations as it's known for toughness and accuracy.
Another awesome feature of that watch is that you can use the pushers under water. How cool is that?

That's exactly what made me get this instead of the Breitling Chrono SuoerOcean! I played around with the Breitling at the shop today and knew the Omega was the one. I'm not a fan of having to constantly screw and unscrew the pushers to use the Chronograph.

Here is a shot of the Rolex bezels and bezel protectors I was given today. Also got an older Rolex catalog, a shopping bag that fits a watch box, an Omega box (vintage), an Omega travel pouch, and a Planet Ocean cleaning cloth. I've given the Omega box and pouch (with cloth) to my brother. Oh yeah, here's the shot of the bezels:

Thanks, Mark! It was quite the adventure today hitting the downtown core in my car. After getting the watch I caught myself doing the same thing as in 2010 when the Explorer II was purchased. Anytime I was stopped at a light or when it was safer to do so it would grab my attention and would catch myself just admiring the watch. I'm SO happy with this watch!

That's a great bday present! Congrats my friend and wear it in (damn) good health - you deserve both. Nothing like the feeling of a new watch to make your day, heck week and month, better.

Thanks, Roger! I'll be sure to do so! I'm still completely over the moon (chances are I will be for a LONG time).

Thanks z32turbo Check this out. I can't seem to capture it the way it looks in person but jeez! Can't stop looking at this watch! When I had the non-chrono version in 2007 the waves got annoying after a while. The subdials somehow bring out the best of that feature and I'm thrilled to own one of these discontinued pieces.

So happy for you, Rommel! You finally got the one you wanted and well deserve. And you are healthy now to really enjoy it. I have seen this model in real life many times over the years, matter of fact two ADs I know have the same model. It is a beauty. I know you will thoroughly enjoy it for many years, and it will be a keeper. It also seems that you purchased it from exactly the right place, and great that you know the person who sold it to you. Congratulations! Carl
