@mucmymark yeah one of the Instagram comments said "too (expletive) thick! Go back to 2500 thickness. "
I agree with the fabric strap, that looks nice. Seems to be very similar to the blue one they have on the Aquaterra GMT titanium. Another watch that is overpriced at over 10k on strap.

Fratello has a hands on article. To me they're a tad gaudy, too much color matching. The size is off putting also, almost 18mm thick. I do like the new fabric look rubber straps though. 18mm thick?? Yikes

Been a long day and just seeing this - ugh. The only two I remotely like are the black with mild orange accents and the Sendona gold models. That said, the thickness and price are ridiculous.
I'd like to see the black and orange in person, but more out of curiosity - not for a possible purchase.
What a let down.

The light switch is a man's best friend.
Looks like it applies to watches as well.

Some of those look they came out of a cereal box.
Sorry, big miss for me, and for the (lost track) time, Omega lost their way.

The only positive thing about this for me regarding Omega would be my interest in the discontinued models. I've never appreciated the previous models more thanks to this and several other "new" products. I wonder if the Deep Black will be a limited edition? For some reason I can't recall off the top of my head nor can I picture as many people liking this vs the metal Planet Ocean pieces.

I feel more and more that Omega is becoming a parody of itself...when the new SM300 came out, I was pretty excited in the direction they were taking, reviving a classic model. The releases from Basel this year, the countless "sides" of the moon, and now these - all very disappointing.

I guess we will soon find out how many sides the ocean has.

I look at them, and I kinda like them. Would not buy them, specially at their price point. To me they look kind of toyish. Also, the color black covers up the details. Wouldn't you want to show them off?

I really hope this doesn't happen to any of them: All of the above images in this post are from minus4plus6.com Seems unlikely but in my opinion goes against what this robust diver should be all about. I'll have to visit an AD sometime in July after these new Planet Ocean watches (steel, gold, and ceramic etc) all hit the display cases. Strictly out of curiosity like Baco Noir.

I also feel like they are not very original, I see Maurice Lacroix pontos when I look at the colored ones..

well, that chip falling off is not a confidence builder. Any idea about the circumstances under which it happened?

Sadly the story behind that isn't known as the original blog / forum post wasn't in English and never got translated on Minus4Plus6.com bbs9.gogo.la/thread-236076-1-1.phplThe link doesn't seem to be working but it was included anyway, just in case.

I'll have to visit an AD sometime in July after these new Planet Ocean watches (steel, gold, and ceramic etc) all hit the display cases. Strictly out of curiosity like Baco Noir . This is exactly the kind of thing I would be afraid of. I am pretty klutzy myself, and sometimes I will bring my hand up very quickly from under a table or a counter top, and bang the watch as it comes up. I have shattered a couple of semi-precious stones in my rings that way, and I also put a chip in the DLC coating on a Breitling Avenger Blacksteel, which was really no big deal. I would imagine dropping the watch on a marble floor would have the same effect. I cannot for the life of me imagine why they would be making a diver watch out of ceramic material. Fortunately, on my Oris, the bezel is aluminum with DLC coating. I am that paranoid about ceramic that I don't even want a watch with a ceramic bezel, which pretty much excludes any Rolex Deep Sea model for me, unless I can overcome the paranoia (not to mention acquiring the 14 grand!).
