Hands are a light press fit, and although it's possible that after putting them on and taking them off enough times they would become too loose, I have yet to have that happen on any hands I've worked with.
Depending on the type of hand, some have a tube that fits over the shaft coming out of the watch (the gold hands here certainly had a tube and were a tight fit). If by chance they did become too loose, the tube can be pinched slightly making them tight on the shaft again.
Some hands where there isn't a tube and they are punched out of a flat plate, this would be troublesome.
If they were discarded every time they are removed it would certainly be tough to service any vintage watches!

So I recieved the package from Al today and the 210 is now on my wrist.
I have to say, it's a subtle difference but a the gold really make the sandwich dial pop. Looks better in person than in Al's photos, and Al's photos make it look great.
I'm very pleased with this mod, which is easily reversible, assuming the 210 becomes suddenly the next 'must have' panny. LOL

Holy sheet! Love those gold hands, John. Now that is just one fantastic mod. So good in fact it doesn't even look like a mod. Well done Al, kudos to you both!
