Went by Timeless today, and he had the chrono that was released at Basel. While I didn't care for it in photos, I must say it's quite stunning in real life and the execution is flawless. Ceramic case, GMT, Chronograph, and insane accuracy from the Super Spring Drive movement, damn near the only watch you ever need. Too pricey for me, but someone will get a well made watch with all the features one might need.

Hmm I don't think I'm a fan of the combo going on, but it does look well executed.

Yeah, marinoc81 I'm with you. This one leaves me cold. The aesthetics do not appeal to me at all.

More brands seem to be going full ceramic for watch cases it seems.

I really like it. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the brown leather strap

Strap change is no big deal. I'm not particularly fond of it either.
I can't get the arabics that Seiko puts on the bezels of their GMTs. Seems out of place.

Yeah, the dial seems like its missing something? I don't really know what it is, just not my thing.

Dan is not a fan of the combo either. Don't get me wrong, it's a very high quality strap, but it doesn't match the watch.

I agree fourthirds. I have to stare at the dial to see the time.

Agreed. I'm also no fan of the full ceramic cases. I've seen images of too many broken ones that haubt me.

Now that GS is really getting into the markets outside of Japan, this indicates to me that they are kind of losing their way. This one does not look at all like the Grand Seikos I know and love. The beautiful simplicity is gone. Now, I have to say that the craftsmanship is obviously still there from what I see in the photos. Beats the Hell out of me, though, why Grand Seiko of all companies would go to an all ceramic case. As others have said, very difficult to tell the time at just a glance. While the strap is obviously excellent quality, the combo does put me off, too.
