Wow, that's a slim case with nice curved lugs - that will be a wrist hugger. And the dial really is beautiful. Didn't notice the anthracite before.

The Zaratsu polishing on this case is the best I've seen on any GS. And with this movement, accuracy is never an issue as it has the best quartz movement they make. 4 seconds a year I think.

The Zaratsu polishing on this case is the best I've seen on any GS. And with this movement, accuracy is never an issue as it has the best quartz movement they make. 4 seconds a year I think. Yeah, same movement as in my SBGV019, 9f82 I think. The 9f62 is the less accurate, at 10secs. That is the one in my white dial quartz, and it has neither gained nor lost a single second since April! I was showing my GS to the owner of Time & Gold when I was in there today picking up my Oris. He was impressed, and had his loupe out looking at the finishing. They carried Spring Drive when it was first introduced. He was excited also because they are going to be selling another Swiss brand, starting in a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, he could not tell me which brand, so I am looking forward to that. I really with they were the Nomos and Grand Seiko dealer here. Looked at those photos you took again, only this time on my iPad which has a really hi-res screen (the one on my Dell is no good), and that polishing looks amazing. This is one watch I will not be wearing at work!

Well, it's here! The guys at Timeless must have shipped it the second my payment went through yesterday morning. And it is fabulous! They stated that the watch is "mint", but that is wrong. It is absolutely perfect. Neither the case nor the bracelet has a single - not even the tiniest - scratch anywhere. The entire case is polished using the GS famous Zaratsu technique. The 5 link bracelet is perfect, and with the beautifully finished hands and markers, it sparkles like a jewel. The dial is magnificent. More black, actually, than the anthracite I thought. Although I have yet to see it in full daylight. A few quick pics I took this evening: A limited edition of 900. Mine is no.49, matching my birth year of 1949. Had I got the watch new, I doubt I would have been lucky enough to get that number. Will try to get better pics. The crown is perfect for this watch, it is the same one used on the 1964 Self Dater, the watch which was the inspiration for this limited edition. Have to slow down now and catch my breath. Almost unbelievable that in the last couple of weeks I have not only seen in real life two limited edition GS quartz watches which I never thought would happen. To actually own both of them really is a dream for me. Thanks to Timeless Luxury Watches, to Dan and Steve for excellent service, a great deal, and super fast shipping. You guys and Timeless are everything and more that guys on this forum have said about you. And thanks Chip for going over to Timeless, talking to Dan, and checking out this watch for me. You are correct, the watch is perfect. I can't imagine a more beautifully crafted watch at any price. I took two full links out and it fits perfectly. Even when all the links were in, it still felt like it was hugging my wrist! The Zaratsu polishing is flawless. And it is almost as though the first owner never wore the watch. cheers, Carl

Congrats carl! Looks great on you and I'm not surprised it got there so quickly. I would not be surprised if they shipped it before you even paid. Dan has offered to ship me a piece before for me to try on before - they are that awesome when the person they are talking to on the phone / internet has been vouched for by someone they know and trust like Chip.

Wow, this is certainly a special piece purchased from a great AD! Having the same production number a your birth year is pretty cool. I'm a huge fan of the way the crystal looks! Enjoy in good health!
