Well, I should not be poking around the internet looking at vintage pieces. Having owned a few already, I know they are just not my thing. However, this one is probably the nicest and most interesting vintage piece I have ever seen. And it is amazing how close my SBGV011 Self Dater looks beside this piece: The original had a manual winding movement. Hands and markers look identical. Probably this new model is the closest to a vintage watch I have every seen. Even back then, it was a beautiful looking watch. They share the same lug width at 19mm. And the case, I believe on the new one is only .7mm larger than the original, which is 36.5mm I should add, that there is also a Spring Drive model in the Historical collection with similar case design, except it is almost 40mm. I'm a sucker for vintage Seiko watches! They've got so much character and appeal.
