Seiko Sumo Review - What do you think of it?

What do you guys think of the Seiko Sumo? I am considering getting one but I'm still not sure...

I read this article just now which is a very good review of the watch - Seiko Sumo Review

From what I have read both in the review and on other forums, blogs etc it seems to be a very good watch for the money. I am wondering what you guys think of it?

Always like the Seiko Divers, and have seen a lot of Sumo models, some of my favourites. This one is a beauty, with the blue bezel and dial. I believe it is hard to beat most Seiko diver watches, especially for the price. I think this one is a great value. Especially considering the automatic movement with date and hacking.

Even though it's 45mm, it is still not too thick, and the lugs are relatively short, so it should fit most wrists I would think, without too much problem. I really like the large markers and the beautifully done large hands, especially that bit of detail on the second hand.

I agree with the author of that review: I don't think that the 20mm lug width looks out of place at all on the Sumo.

I've never owned or seen a Sumo in real life but have admired them. The Blumo in the watch review you posted is beautiful.

I think it's an exceptional divers watch. Regardless to if you'll swim, snorkel, or actually dive with it. Aesthetically pleasing and certainly reliable. I don't own one but do have a Monster and an Orient (owned by Seiko) and can say only the best about the qualify. Chances are you wouldn't regret going ahead with this one.

I actually did not know this watch existed until a few months ago when some forum members educated me on it. I love the look of the sumo!
