So, I have been looking at chronos a LOT lately - I know, shocker from the "I'm not a chrono guy"! With no bonuses company wide this year, my watch fund is low so to get something new, something would have to go or it'd have to be under ~$3k. I thought about the Damasko chronos, but at 40mm, I think they'd be too small based on trying out Chip's recently. Another option is a used Speedmaster, but I wasn't able to try one on yesterday when I hit the AD - none in stock. Looking at my collection, the only one worth flipping is the Omega Seamaster 300 that I had Al build for me. Problem is, I really like the watch and they are starting to go up in value lately since the Watchco source dried up. The only other possibility is selling the Breitling Avenger Blackbird, but that was part of a his/hers 50th Birthday gift to each other. If I went that route, I'd have to ask the wife for permission before I could do that. NOTE for Tapatalk users - There's a poll in this thread. so chose web view in Tapatalk to vote.

This is tough.. If the breitling was not an anniversary gift, I would have voted to flip that. I love that Omega and I think if you love it too then you should keep it and wait. Tough decision either way

I voted flip the Seamaster.
You've been talking about the grey side for nearly two years now, so I do not see that going away anytime soon, and while the Speedy Pro is awesome... that's a temporary fix. It's not the one you really want.

I'm with Marino. I think you'd regret selling the SM and the Breitling has sentimental value. Wait for the "right" watch.

Yeah, don't ever sell that Seamaster unless I'm the one buying it LOL. In all seriousness though, don't do it. Waiting longer might be a bit painful but not as much as giving away such a nice example. For what it's worth I'm still going back and forward on this Planet Ocean Chrono vs GMT Master II. At the moment (for today that is) I'm just going to wait it out as well for the GMT. Don't flip the SM300!!!!
