Instagram was all over it, and I'm not surprised it sold out that fast.
I like it a lot, but retail is a steep price to pay for that watch. Unless it's a like long keeper.

I don't really like the lumed subdial. I like the contrast between the black and white, but the lume just doesn't do it for me

I really like the sub dials, it is extremely well executed in my opinion. Would I pay $6,500 for it? No Probably wouldn't consider it even in the 5ish range

I also dislike the very cheap looking faux vintage leather strap. That would come off the watch within the first minute.

I like the watch. Over time the plethora of "Limited edition" Speedmaster watches started to make more sense. As a collector it would be nice to own but couldn't ever see myself getting one.

Well, it still has the hand-wound calibre 1861, which is just fine, but not worth that amount of money. A quick conversion from USD to CAD comes up at over $8600. On the website it is listed as $7500CAD. That is still too much money. Even the regular Speedy Moonwatch is almost 6 grand now.
I really do like the watch, but the Omega prices are just ridiculous now. As you guys know, I was a huge supporter of Omega. It bothers me to see the direction they have taken in just a couple of years.
The LE are over the top. Basically the same as a regular model, and usually the cost is at least a grand extra. Grand Seiko manages to do a LE model often for the same price as the regular model. And Rolex doesn't do LE models at all, and that is just fine with me.
When it gets to the point where I am paying more money for an Omega Speedy than a Rolex Explorer, then I am out of the picture.

I actually like this watch, but it sold-out too fast to acquire. Sadly, I think that Omega has been pricing itself out-of-reach from many of its ardent supporters. I think that there are more interesting watches in the pipeline

Sadly, it has got to the point where their watches are simply not worth that amount of money. In case I did not mention before: Welcome to WWF! Cheers, Carl

Cheers, Carl Thanks, happy to be aboard and I'm certainly liking this forum. For what it's worth, I've been working on my own brand/watch design partly because I felt that many brands seem to have lost touch with reality, and I think that I can offer something different, interesting and most importantly, more reasonably priced.
