I need a good bag quite badly, but I can't seem to find the right one.

When they arrive next week I'll let you know if they're any good.

They both came in today (Sunday delivery - who knew?) They look good for what they are. I don't think they'll be full time replacements for our dedicated camera bags but for day trips I think they'll work perfectly. The camera bag compartment is removable which is pretty awesome and the backpack portion is perfectly acceptable as a stand alone day pack. The side pocket has a strap mounted above it for securing a tripod or monopod/walking stick. My son's laptop fits inside the padded portion so I predict it'll become his travel backpack as he often brings homework when he comes home or visits his GF in Boston. Overall I wish they were cheaper but cost aside I think they'll be suitable for day excursions and that's the purpose they were bought for.
