A vintage Anniversary issue of the 1957 model will likely never happen again in my lifetime. I have been keeping a close eye on it since it was introduced at Basel 2017, so I thought it deserved it's own thread. Just a few pics I have collected: Amazing resemblance to the original: Cheers, Carl

This seems like a piece you would really enjoy owning, Carl! I think it would be a great watch to own, if I was planning on expanding my collection, or keeping it at the same size. However, I am drastically downsizing it now, so I think the Railmaster is out of the question. And I just found out from the Boutique that the MSRP is $8500CAD + taxes = $9520CAD. I have a hard time justifying that amount when I can get a Rolex DJ41 for $8450 or an Explorer for $7500.

No kidding! It's almost as if Omega doesn't want people to buy them lol. Prices are pretty insane now and it's partly why I can't see myself buying anything but a Rolex next or again. Too many reasons to list but anyone on this forum is well aware of those reasons.

Very well executed, fantastic job staying to the original in all the minute details. How came they away with that retail, I do not know.

I have to admit that I like the non-LE Railmaster better. 40mm and all brushed case and bracelet. About $5000usd. Still not on Omega website. Think that I will cool my heals and wait for this to come out, and see it in real life:

You can fly to US, wear it back, and still save money.

Yeah, I'll never buy a new Omega from an AD ever again in my life. The only model they have that really seems to appeal to me is the Chronograph I own. The newer models don't seem to do it for me, especially because of the price range they're in. Including a trip to the US would be a much better way of doing things.
