I’m a huge fan of the brand and I sing its praises as often as I can, but this is not something I agree with. I hope that’s not a sign of things to come.

Yeah, I saw that the other day and immediately thought "not another deep blue knockoff" but at least they didn't do any green writing on the dial. The gold dial accents look nice and make it different too.

Too much for me, and 1700 bucks is crazy as well.

LOL! Also, I'm assuming that's $1,700.00 USD? They've got such good designs it's beyond me why they would go down this path.

I agree, why copy when they have so many of their own unique designs. I have been watching the discussions on the Seiko upcoming release forum on WUS regarding this watch. Quite spirited... On another note I keep moving this in and out the cart. I like the Blue Lagoon you two have but the dial on this is different. I think I need to see one IRL.

muckymark I dig the hobnail dial, a lot less shinier than the one I have. And I like less shiny.

More than likely I’ll skip this one (too close to the one I have) and get the 62MAS reissue that’s not 3400 bucks

Took me a few comments as I scrolled down, to realize what they are trying to imitate. Well, all of these Rolex copy attempts just help to bolster my already favorable impression of Rolex. Must admit, I do like the blue hobnail dial. I wonder if that hobnail is available in black as well? Almost seems like blue is becoming the new black!

muckymark, yes. I’m terrible with reference numbers, so I had to google it.
