Now my original question really comes in to play. After spending that much do you actually wear it or put it on permanent display at a museum?

I'm willing to bet the lucky new owner of this piece won't actually up wearing it much if at all. I could only imagine the watch collection they must have already. My inclination is it's more the type of thing you're proud to be the owner of but never really end up using. Showing up to a get together with this thing would make one heck of a statement. When the watch was on tour prior to the auction, members of other forums in the Los Angeles area were blown away by the fact they got to see it in person and hold it.

I simply bought a big block in my opinion it looks 100% better plus it has a date function. And at five grand it’s hard to beat
