Check this out! "ROLEX MAN" posted these pictures he took in Hong Kong. A plethora of AD's (a friend of mine here had an AD many years ago there) and no stock on steel models, as we're all used to. Anyway, pre-owned dealers seem to be doing well! So many people all over seem to be selling or trading in 5 digit reference pieces to upgrade to an updated version of the watch.

That’s the part that really pisses me off. ADs selling to greys instead of loyal customers.

Yeah, and it seems to be happening more often now. The artificial scarcity and mind games while they get listed for sale online this way.

Interesting to see the Pepsi GMT selling for more than the newer Black and Blue style.

Interesting to see the Pepsi GMT selling for more than the newer Black and Blue style. It certainly seems to reflect some of the many differences in some parts of thee world. I guess it's also an attempt to sell at those prices as some might be able to negotiate. With the discontinued models in a market like Hong Kong thought this could very well be what those folks want and what they're willing to pay. I'll take an updated model over the 5 digit pieces any day! That's just me though

I can't wait for my 116710LN to get back from the spa. I'm going to shop it around for a 16610. I haven't gotten used to either of the 6 digit models I've owned; they were never as comfy as the 5 digit ones.

That's totally understandable as they're not for everyone. The only thing I didn't like was the hollow links. Other than that, the 5 digit models were wonderful! Although I wouldn't go back I'm certainly able to see why others will. That'll be a good trade for you to make and my fingers are crossed you find a nice example soon!
