Brings back vague memories of a recent new item I read somewhere. I don't really know if it's that remarkable or not, would be interested to see what other watches could survive such an event and still keep running. While I do have, as you know, utmost respect for the Rolex brand, I would be skeptical about believing it's the only watch that would be as robust.

Yeah, I'm confident any well made Swiss watch could endure the same (if not more) than a Rolex. It's just nice to see some of the things they've been through. www.minus4plus6.com/ouch.phpAlthough most of those didn't survive, for the ones that did it was amazing! I know Chip's been watching that show from the start. Once I'm on Amazon Prime I'll check it out. Hammond seems to be very lucky. The last crash of his I knew of (major) was many years back on Top Gear with the Pagani Zonda. I'm just not sure how the watch either got burnt that badly on him (based on what the guy describes) or how it would've ended up off his wrist and in the car.

I don’t recall the Hamster wrecking a Zonda. His big one was the jet car crash. The latest one kind of humorous, at least in hindsight, he just kept going after the finish line. Thankfully only minor injury. Lots of ribbing in the following episodes. I will say season 2 is an improvement over the first one.

I can’t imagine a fine swiss watch surviving a fire of such extreme heat. The small parts inside would likely warp due to the heat, the oils would likely dry up and as a result not function properly.

Watched the episode yesterday. Here’s a couple of screenshots of James May’s Milguass and what appears to be a P.O.?

muckymark One of many reasons I enjoyed watching these 3 over the years. I'm seriously considering a Prime membership for 2018!!

muckymark One of many reasons I enjoyed watching these 3 over the years. I'm seriously considering a Prime membership for 2018!! It's a pretty good deal. There's also a series called Bosch I really like. Based on the Michael Connelly books. I figure I saved enough on shipping charges to offset the membership fees.

That's the beautiful thing about Amazon! This year I plan to do a lot more online shopping to save myself the headaches associated with these brick and mortar retailers (customer service, inventory etc). I'm going to have a look at the other shows / films available with this service but The Grand Tour has me sold. Things couldn't have worked out better for Amazon and I'm glad they preserved this concept with those 3.
