VC Complete Calendar is another nice one, but out of my price range, which seems to be the theme of this year’s SIHH.

Damn! I want this!!! 39mm ultrathin Ti case with a Pt bezel and blue gradient dial. I am 100% with you on this one, Roger! This is the best SIHH 2018 watch I have seen so for. Likely the most gorgeous blue dial watch I have ever seen. IMO, it is the perfect size: 39mm and 8.1mm thick. Probably the best ultra luxury sports type watch I have ever seen: Limited Edition of 250, Boutique Exclusive. The kind of watch dreams are made of! Until I saw this, I thought the Patek Philippe Nautilus SS with blue gradient dial is the nicest blue dial I have seen. This one has a matching blue date wheel as well. And, I just realized after reading more about it, there is no second hand. More exclusivity to this model, and better to concentrate on the gorgeous dial. Cheers, Carl

That’s a bronze watch i would wear, but the fly back feature puts it way out of my range. Haven’t found anything on pricing n that one, but there’s always the Type 20 Bronze Chrono that they released last year. If I had got the Bronze chrono, instead of the Type 20 Extra Special, I would likely still own it. As it has the El Primero movement. It just bugged the Hell out of me that mine had the tiny Elite dress watch movement in it. Even though I couldn't see it, I knew it was driving those massive hands, and it became the biggest reason for me to flip the watch so quickly.

A closer look at 5 of the new AP releases from Hodinkee including the Ti/Pt Ultrathin and a cool purple dial tourbillon with a different style tapestrie dial.

This is a good retrospective of AP’s releases at SIHH this year. www.watchtime.com/featured/audemars-piguet-royal-oak-offshore-2018-sihh-collection/Yesterday I saw a photo of the Ti/Pt Royal Oak ultrathin next to the SS version. While I love the blue gradient dial on the new model, I like the single tonal SS version better than the new mixed metal version. Also, seeing the purple tapisserie evolutive dial again was a treat. I really like it and hope they do a non-Tourbillon version soon. Looking at the camo ROO Chronograph again, if they put that on a black strap, the dial colors are quite nice together. I just couldn’t get past the camo strap at first.
