Having tried on quite a few Speemaster models - and owned a couple also - this must the be most beautiful one I have seen. Here are a few of the details of this model, which set it apart from the other two FOIS models, the regular black dial numbered edition, and the blue CK2998 Limited Edition which has been sold out long ago: "The case, indexes and OMEGA logo are all made of 18K Sedna™ gold. The hour, minute, seconds and sub-dial hands are also crafted from 18K Sedna™ gold. The central chronograph hand is gold-plated. Engraved on the caseback are the words "THE FIRST OMEGA IN SPACE", "OCTOBER 3, 1962". "The opaline silvery dial of the updated 18K Sedna™ gold Speedmaster, is complimented by a unique brown polished ceramic bezel ring and a matt chromium nitride tachymeter scale. This rich brown colour is also included on the PVD subdials and minutes track. A classic brown leather strap completes the look." The attention to detail is incredible. The ceramic bezel ring and subdials in brown are very subtle, almost black IMO, but really compliment the whole package so well. The Sedna Gold is a favourite of mine, as I really like the more coppery shade compared to the more pink shade of some of the other pink gold. And with the brown leather strap, there is just the right amount of gold IMO. Anyone, one of the models I knew existed, but never really took the trouble to look at more closely before. Cheers, Carl

carl - you are spot on with Omega’s Sedona gold - it’s a gorgeous shade of gold. I haven’t seen this particular model in a store yet, but the Speedy’s I have seen with the Sedona gold have been mesmerizing.

Since I was downtown today anyway, to retrieve my Rolex OP34 at Otto Friedl - which just happens to be in the Fairmont Vancouver Hotel where the Omega Boutique is located - I thought that I would revisit this wonderful FOIS Sedna Gold edition. So I took a few more pics as well: This has become my favorite of the Speedmaster models. The attention to detail is amazing. The dark brown ceramic bezel insert and subdial surfaces are such a dark brown, they almost look black in many lights, but are perfectly done. Again, the coppery Sedna Gold is beautiful. And with the silvery dial, brown accents, and brown leather strap there is not too much gold. It really makes me appreciate a lot more the Rolex Yacht-Master 40 like Chip has, which for the same reasons is not overpowered with the Everose Gold. It really is a model that is worth just taking a look at it to really appreciate it. Definitely one of the nicest done gold watches I have seen, and I have truly seen many this past year or so! Cheers, Carl

Seems like every time I visit the Omega Boutique, I have to try on this watch. I simply believe that it is the most beautiful watch in the shop! These pics I took today show more of the rich dark brown color on the bezel and the subdials: This pic, taken by Jorge at the Boutique, gives a better perspective of how the 39mm watch fits: Cheers, Carl
