The Black Seamaster looks good on the rubber strap. The Omega rubber strap I had on my Great White GMT was very comfortable.

Great selection of photos! Thank You!
I was really waiting to sea the Seamasster with the new grey dial on a bracelet. It really looks good. And I still love the two-tone models, way more than I ever thought I would.
That Seamaster 1949 vintage three hands is so very close to the vintage IMO. When I first saw your shot, I thought it was a vintage piece. I think I prefer it over the small seconds. Guys at the local Omega Boutique already have pre-orders for them, they say the small seconds version is the most popular so far.
From what I read on the various forums, I seem to be in a minority liking the Seamaster Titanium Tantalum LE. That is a piece I would love to own, though I need to see it in real life. I have been thinking about the Rolex GMT new brown/black bezel TT a lot, but I think I like this Seamaster TT LE better. It is very certainly a unique piece, and I am very curious to see how quickly it sells.
That new AT wave dial, the grey TT with grey leather strap looks good enough to eat! Now, I don't know if I like the tiny, round date window. Is that considered a ladies' model?
Thanks again for the great pics. Best selection I have seen yet.
Cheers, Carl

Yeah the '48 is a huge hit. I think we sold out of both in one day. It does seem like the small seconds is the better received of the two, and I'm inclined to agree with the consensus. I agree, the tantalum LE has not really received much coverage, but it's probably my second favorite of the bunch, behind the silver dial/blue bezel model. I adore the new SMPs. As per the Aqua Terras with round date windows, I think they're aimed at women, as the round date window is basically only used in the ladies' ATs, but at the same time, it lacks the diamonds that are in almost all other ladies' ATs, so it might end up being unisex. My bet is that it's for women, but it's received some interest from men recently as well, so I say hey, if you like it, wear it. I often wear a ladies' G-Shock Rally Timer.

Well, it has been an exciting week! For me, having just gone into retirement, I have had endless hours each day to ponder each and every brand and model on offer. I have been mostly impressed by the offerings of Omega, and tried to be positive about all of the changes, updates and new models. I finally hit a snag, though. Having always been a little disappointed that I did not get around to the 1948 Seamaster London Olympics 2012 LE. When I saw these two models offered this time, I was certain that I would put in my order for one at the local Omega Boutique, if I could get there in time. Matter of fact, I was going to go down there today. This morning, I realized that both of these versions have a transparent case back . I have been trying to restrain myself by not commenting on the addition of the transparent case back on the Seamaster Diver 300M models, and concentrating on what I see as the positive changes. Now, having seen the transparent case back on the 1948 Seamaster LE models, it has become a deal breaker for me on all the other models as well. I know that if I managed to get one of the 1948 LE models, the case back would forever bother me. I get that Omega is proud, and justifiably so, with their technology of the anti-magnetic Master Chronometer movements. Yes, I really do get it. However, I personally find the transparent case back thing becoming increasingly tiresome. For me, the novelty has worn off. Some of the solid case backs in Omega history have been works of art, and as such should IMO carry on in tribute to the history of these watches. While I think that it's great to see the etchings on the crystal on these case backs, I still don't think that it does justice to the original models. To me, even if they had no artwork on the back, it would be better than a transparent one. Without sounding like a hypocrite, I can definitely make exceptions in the case of some supreme luxury watches, where the hand finishing on the movement is in itself a work of art. Like the AP Royal Oak for example. Anyway, just my take on things. Perhaps, when I see the sample Seamster models in a few months at the Omega Boutique I will rethink my position. For now, though, I am content in looking forward to my 60th Anniversary Railmaster LE which will arrive in a couple of weeks. With a solid case back. I applaud Omega for at least keeping the case back solid on the new Railmasters as well. Cheers, Carl

Those are some beautiful new watches. I have seen them in my local boutique and I can say they look better in person than they do in the pictures....and those are some high quality pics.
