"What’s the fastest way to sell watches? If you are Omega, its the [HASH]SpeedyTuesday. Just a few hours ago, at precisely 6pm Singapore time, the gates to the reservation website were opened, and in less than 2 hours, the 2012 watches, each at S$9,180 were all spoken for. A total of S$18.5 million of sales." link

I saw it on IG and it’s a nice watch but I truly believe the ell out was due to speculators rather than watch enthusiasts. Seems like these LE Speedy’s sell out in hours lately and end up on Ebay and the forums as BNIB for tidy profits. Sad really.

Still trying to figure out why it’s named after a dude that’s only functional occasionally, and only for three minutes.

Wow... that's amazing. What is the difference with regular moonwatch? Just a vintage concept?

Wow... that's amazing. What is the difference with regular moonwatch? Just a vintage concept? Stepped dial, orange accents and chrono hand, a different running seconds hand and a lumed silhouette of ultraman on the seconds sub dial. Oh, and...the penis on the dial now has an orange tip too.

Also the dot over 90 bezel they tried to cram cram a lot of unique concepts into this watch. I personally could have done without the "ultra man" face on the sub dial.

I think that cheapens the look.

Yeah, they did a lot right on that version, but the hidden ultraman seemed like a gimmick to me.

They actually had one of these today at the Boutique here in Vancouver. I guess it was ordered to someone, but at least I did get to see it in real life. It is very nice, and the Ultraman is a nice touch, I suppose. Just a bit too much going on, though, on that dial. The orange accents are nice, then there is white, then there are the baton markers kind of faux patina but light orange with the orange at the ends of the markers. It is a premium of 3 grand (in CAD) over the regular Moonwatch. To be honest, I would rather have the regular Moonwatch. I don't mind paying up to a grand for a special model, but 3 grand is a bit excessive IMO. Although, if it was truly something I wanted badly enough...

I know MSRP of the watch is higher than regular moonwatch but the watch is being sold $2-3k USD over the regular price of the watch (which is $9000 usd). Be honest, I am not sure the watch is really worth of over $2k premium.

Be honest, I am not sure the watch is really worth of over $2k premium. Over the years, I found that a lot of the Omega LE models were about a grand over the regular price. Like a couple of the James Bond Seamaster and PO models. I can understand 1k, but 2-3 is a bit excessive, I agree.
