The ZENITH PILOT CRONOMETRO TIPO CP-2 FLYBACK BRONZE (CP = Cronomentro da Polso, or Wristwatch Stopwatch). Since this has become one of my favorite watches, I think it deserves a thread of it's own. This is mainly a pictorial review. The details of this watch: Movement: El Primero 405 B, Automatic Flyback Diameter: 43mm Water Resistance: 10ATM/100Meters Strap: Brown oily nubuck leather strap with protective rubber lining Clasp: Titanium pin buckle I missed the 2016 Limited Edition, the Cronometro Tipo CP 2, which was inspired by the 1960s Cairelli chronograph, produced for the Italian Army and Air Force pilots by distributor A. Cairelli. I won't go into details about that LE piece, as there is plenty of information elsewhere online, especially follow this link: www.fratellowatches.com/zenith-heritage-cronometro-tipo-cp-2-review/ Anyway, this Flyback version which introduced at Basel 2018 is exactly same dimensions, with different color/material case, dial, hands and bezel. I haven't been able to find out what material the bezel is made of. The black forms a beautiful contrast with the dial. And, as on the 2016 LE, the watch is very clear and readable. I'm not at all disappointed now that I missed the 2016 LE, as I have quite a few watches with stainless steel cases and black dials. Thanks for looking! Cheers, Carl

I’m in the car, I’ll give this a proper read when I get home.

The way they got the black, brown, bronze and gold tones to play so well titis outstanding, as is the readability of the chronograph.

I really think they nailed the aesthetics on that one, they did a fabulous job on it.
Of course, as always, great photos.

Thanks guys. The small details on this watch are outstanding. Yes, all the elements of dial, case, bezel and strap work so well together. And depending on the light, there is more often that not a greenish hue to the lume on the arabics and hands.
Nice thing, too, is even though it looks so good, nobody else ever really notices it. Not like my Sub. Since I got it (the Sub), I do notice people looking at my wrist quite a lot. That's just fine, but I never had that before on any other watch!
I am glad to see Zenith becoming more well known and popular. Their Defy models, Classic and El Primero 21 are amazing. Anyway, my AD who also has a huge Breitling section, was telling me that their Zenith models are starting to sell more than the Breitling. And that says a lot, because some of the new Breitling models look great.
