I just watched this video from Watchfinder and Company. It’s really scary how close the high-quality fakes are coming to the actual pieces.

I watched it a few minutes after it got posted, then I watched it again. And one more time after that. Really scary indeed.

Says it all when they didn't spot the fake glass on my Sub. To be honest, when I checked for the crown etching and didn't see it, I asked them on handing the watch over. They said all good at first.

Bring your loupe and a caliper, omg. Disturbing how unabashed the fakes are. So many second hand watches come with no box or papers to make it even tougher. I suppose someone could just switch a new authentic with a fake too and sell it with the original box and papers. ay yi yi

Seamaster 300M James Bond, real vs. fake. Video also makes you think about a redial on vintage. The redial, even if very good, the sharpness of print just comes up short to the original unless the restore was done by the original manufacturer.
