per Facebook reply to comment by Damasko
Damasko Uhrenmanufaktur
"Due to the hard purchase of quality movements of the country of origin Switzerland we will phase out all models with the ETA automatic movement 2836-2. This concerns the model ranges (DA2X, DA3X, DA4X und DHX). As this supply bottleneck became clear in the past we are already working on an own solution which will probably be introduced in the second half of the year."
I believe these models are not available through the Damasko website store. But they are still stocked by dealers afaik.

Wow, it's good in a way they're going in house. I'm not sure how reliable the first versions will be or what it'll do to the prices but neat, nonetheless.
Such a shame what the Swatch Group has ultimately done here. From their perspective I get it, why help the competition have time proven movements allowing them to save on costs and likely be more profitable.
As a watch enthusiast of all brands it's a travesty. I know when Breitling went in house some of those models were no longer as attainable. I wonder what independent brands like Fortis will do over time. How many options do these companies have for other base movement suppliers?

I'm glad I recently got my early Damasko with ETA. The price of watch will go up with in house. The DS-30 with ETA $961. The no date in-house DK-30 $1447 with leather. Looks like the ETA Damaskos are harder to come by now. I like the Tudor with ETA too. Sinn seems to favor the SW calibre line.

I’ve always liked the Damasko’s and the ETAs are bulletproof. I home they can transition to in house with the same quality as Nomos.
