Another regional release limited to the US market is Seiko's latest special edition diving watch series. The Seiko Prospex "Ice Diver" trio is a spin-off of the previously announced SLA049 and SLA051, both of which pay homage to Japanese adventurer and alpinist Naomi Uemura. Those watches, which were launched in February as part of the brand's rush of activity, were updated and more sumptuous versions of the 6105, the much-loved "Captain Willard" diver. Those first Uemura watches, which cost around $3,000 each, were clearly aimed at collectors and dedicated aficionados, but the new Ice Divers had a similar appearance but only $1,400 each.

Welcome to the forum. I love the gradient on that dial, but just have never warmed up to the turtle case, but I know they are very popular.

Welcome to the forum! Seiko does it again, wow. This is a very nice piece, I really like it. Something I wouldn't mind owning.
