Wow, insane! Then again, considering what the watch it goes with is worth, it likely made much sense to the buyer. It'll now feel more complete and should they ever want to sell it, it'll be worth a bit more with this.

I wonder what the story is behind the movement with a 2016 service history / report that's not in a watch case.
The D Serial Yacht Master is a nice one. The final sale price for a full set isn't all bad considering a lot of what we've seen lately.

I wonder what the story is behind the movement with a 2016 service history / report that's not in a watch case. The D Serial Yacht Master is a nice one. The final sale price for a full set isn't all bad considering a lot of what we've seen lately. That is a good question. They had 2 more Rolex movements sold for 2.200 € ea. Cal. 3035 and cal. 1520 (w/o number because it's non COSC). They had a number of dials too. Lot 517
