This is from our new house looking west over the peach orchard next door to us. We’re 15 minutes from town but surrounded by 20 acres of peach orchard.

Wow, moving there was a wise move! You need a telescope now if you don't already have one. Seemingly far enough from major light pollution, you'll get a great view.

I’ll have to plant the seed with Laurie and maybe we can get one at Christmas. It’s not all roses here though. It does get hot. We’re trying to get all our outdoor chores done by 1-2 pm and then work inside. It hit 104F (40C) here today. Luckily Amazon delivered our new misting fan for the patio today too. It’s working well, although I want to get an outdoor ceiling fan for the patio soon.

That's harsh, but I still prefer the heat to fridgid winters. This misting fan will help and once the ceiling fan arrives you'll be set! Choosing to do certain things at different times is helpful.

It was a cooler day here today (78F) and so a cooler night too. Getting to use the new fire pit tonight.

That's a very nice setup there! Glad it cooled down a bit so you could do this!

I didn’t realize moving to the west side of the Rockies would result in routinely amazing sunsets.

Beautiful! Are you on the Divide or the western slope?

Beautiful! Are you on the Divide or the western slope? On the western slope. You might have been seeing good ones in Erie, but when we were in Lakewood, we were really close to the foothills and we only occasionaly saw good ones.
