Hi people, There is written on picture 3 : Ancre Ligne Droite Spiral Breguet 15 Rubis (Jewels) I see a serial number twice the same 6 digits with the word Metal under it Picture 4 : Avence, Retard (French, to control the speed, forward backward) Does someone have more info about this watch, age, what it is worth? It is still working perfectly, except the glass is broken, needs a new glass. Thanks for reading!

The hands are gorgeous in typical breguet fashion. Beautiful Pockethingyches.

Being a Breguet and that old, it would also be very rare. I think it would be worth a fortune.
Have it valued at a good auctioner's and by an expert.

erik -
One of the problems with classifying vintage Breguet P/W's is the fact that ole' Abe's watches were so widely copied and forged.
While the hands and case markings (stamped) seem to indicate a Breguet provenance, the engraving on the dust cover is speculative at best (the translation of the wording is "ancre' and "ligne" refer to the type of escapement [lever] and that it is an open face watch. I can find no reference for "droite" other than it is literally translated as "right". The "spiral Breguet" reference is probably to the type of hairspring.) The lack of markings or engravings on the movement also cause worry.
On top of all this, few true vintage Breuget P/W's will have a value of less than $10,000.00.
I'll give you the direct quote from the Price Guide regarding Breuget P/W's:
". . . the vast majority of watches one encounters bearing [Breguet's] name were either marketed only by his firm or are outright fakes made by others for the export market. Much study is required for proper identification." Shugart, Engle, Gilbert, Complete Price Guide to Watches, Shugart Publications, 2003; p. 472.
This isn't to say your watch is not either original nor authentic. What I need to further classify it are good high quality scans of every surface of the watch - case cover, inside case cover, dial, case back, inside case back, outside dust cover, inside dust cover, movement, and hinges. Also a good shot of the stem and bow would be helpful.
Still, your watch appears to be a nice example of mid to late 19th century European watch manufacturing. It's worth keeping around - especially since it is still running!.
Let me know if you want to make a project out of this.
