I couldn't resist this little trinket. Let me explain, I have a problem that requires that I buy a new watch every month or so, it's a disease, an addiction if you will but I am severely restricted "budgetarily" so when a deal comes along I'm helpless. When I was a young'un there was a Timex display in the Rexall drugstore resplendent with lights and mirrors,it was magnificent. There for everyone to see were the latest Timex models spinning in all their glory on a glass turntable,Fabulous! Well I haven't owned a Timex since I was 13 years old but the sweet memories of the corner drugstore and of the old Timex that helped me to deliver the morning "Globe" and get me to school on time linger on. So call me a sucker blinded by nostalgia but I just ordered this Timex perpetual calendar for less than sixty dollars shipped. I know it's quartz but that can be a good thing sometimes, it comes with a seven year battery and if the watch itself last that long, never mind the battery I'll be thrilled. For me it's all about the fun.

That's right Warren...a watch doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg to give you enjoyment. Can't wait to see some of you pics once you get it.

Nothing wrong with that Warren! Tam came home today with some no name quartz watch she paid about 8 bucks for. She took her $4000 Panerai off and put it in the watchbox, and strapped on her new "fashion watch"! Hey, I've got a Diesel watch. It's kinda cool

It is all about the fun. Sam's right,it doesn't have to cost a fortune or be COSC certified,or be some limited edition. It should be something that gives you enjoyment on some level. If it does that who cares what it cost or the name on the dial!

wetowne, I think much like you... NOw and then you just need the thrill of a new watch... Some of my chaeper ones (most of them) get as many or more comments than the more expensive ones...

Forgot about this thread Warren. How's the new Timex? Like the Times Expedition series. Affordable and useful. They look quite rugged also. Any owners? Rambler

As others have said; bet he won't be wearing one when he's out of office. Mr Clinton has recently been spotted with both Panerai and Kobold (free no doubt - oh well) Rambler
