Ok...I've got an Alpha White Dial Exp II clone that I wear when I'm out doing stuff on the weekends. I was out this morning dove hunting and fishing on a friend's property that lives near me, and we were riding his four wheelers and dune buggies. I was on one of the dune buggies when I took a turn going way too fast and I flipped it. My left arm got flung off of the steering wheel and my Alpha hit the ground.
Needless to say, my arm is pretty bruised up and sore, but my Alpha didn't miss a beat! It had a few small scratches on it, but for the most part, it's in about the same condition it was before the crash. Amazing! That watch loses about a second every other day. I'll see how good it is after this, but wow! I call that a good frugal watch investment!

Wow! That's a great link! Makes me want to buy more Alphas.
For anyone who reads this and wonders if I have the Canada or Hong Kong version, I bought mine on "the bay" from Collector 898 in Hong Kong. I suspect mine is of the same quality is it has been just as accurate or more accurate than my Omega Aqua Terra.

These two boys are not "easy" on watches but the Sub I gave to the 13-year-old and the YM I gave to the 15-year-old are still ticking away. I'm in the process now of getting a Pepsi GMT to wear as a beater.

Sure is Brian. Thats a funny story, don't forget the crystal melted too. For a $20 watch it took a beating before it gave up, not having it more then a few days I can't commit on the movement, but the crown is the weakest link on found in the watch, it fell off after being submerged overnight in water.

What kind of Alpha did you have? The ones I got for my nephews have glass crystals and screwdown crowns. They are tough, well-made watches and worth every penny of the $30 I paid for each of them.

I had a couple of Alphas....never a problem. I wore them as beaters and they never missed a beat. Since I bought the real deal, I didn't need/want them so I sold both of them. Actually made a profit, too.

Sam, I see a trend here... Funny the first 2 Rolexes I bought were the same as these Alphas.
