Man, un-snapping the clasp on this thing is a chore. Unlike a "real" President bracelet that has a little coronet as part of the last link which you can pull up on, Alpha didn't put anything on the final link. Once you snap it closed on your wrist it looks like a solid, seamless bracelet. There is nothing to grip to open it except the sides of the links at the clasp.

The black dial looks good. Yes, it does. And it seems the black dial Day-Date is somewhat rare. I got this watch from Keven Kowalski, an Alpha dealer in Canada. He tells me very few Alpha Day-Dates are made, and most don't come with the black dial. I never paid that much attention to it, but if you look at the offerings on ebay from the guy in HK, there isn't a single Day-Date listed (except for the full-bling DD Masterpiece). Also, there are no Day-Dates listed on the "official" Alpha web site.
