I took a little trip to Kittery, Maine this afternoon to the outlet store malls. Usually I hate these trips because all I do is wait around while my wife and daughter shop for clothes and shoes. This trip was a good one, I found a little shop called "Seiko the Company Store" and they had most of the automatic diver line at attractive prices so I grabbed a SKXA43 black monster, now I know what all the fuss is about, it's a lot of watch for the money. Pics to follow! ;D

so I grabbed a SKXA43 black monster OK....I'm officially confused. SKXA43? The BM I know is SKX779 so I looked up the SKXA43 on google and it's came up with the BM. Are there 2 numbers for the same thing? Is one the American version and one the Asian version....or something like that? BTW...congrats Warren. Heckuva watch!

Here are the monsters that they had on display at the store with their corresponding numbers: SKX781- Orange Monster on steel. SKXA45- Orange Monster on rubber. SKXA43- Black Monster on steel. SKX779- Black Monster on rubber. I think they changed the model numbers to better differentiate the bracelets from the straps, but who knows? It doesn't make much sense to me.

Interesting Warren. On Ebay they keep the SKX779 number for rubber or bracelet. Oh well. Whatever number it is, it's a cool watch! ;D
