Excuse the crappy picture it's the best I could do handheld, I shot it in my dining room where the walls are deep red hence the wierd color cast. When I get a chance I'll shoot some decent stuff later. The lume is pretty amazing on thes things I got to admit.

Great shot Warren. One question, when you get a chance, can you try to get a close up of your dial? Especially between the 35-40 min markers and the 20-25 min markers? You have markings near the chapter ring there that Atomic and I don't. Between 30-35 on mine 7S26 is printed, which is the caliber used in the watch, and between 25-30, I have 2084 R 2. Thanks.

Well I am assuming older models were made in Japan and newer ones in Singapore the serial number on mine indicates that it was made in Jan, 2005 assuming that this info on pmwf is correct. www.pmwf.com/Watches/SeikoReferenceNumbers.htm

By that serial number dating guide, my Black Monster was made March 2005. Interesting....never knew you could date Seikos like that.

My serial numberl starts with 51. Sam, yours must start with 53 and it doesn't say Singapore?, so much for my theory about newer ones made in Singapore.

I think a lot of the Seiko divers are being simultaneously made both in Singapore and Japan. I've always assumed by BM was made in Singapore. The ones made in Japan usually say "Japan" on the dial....like this one....and have a "J" in the model number. For instance this one is an SKX007J while the one I have is an SKX007K.
