Okay, so I've had my first issue with the Monster.
I was sitting watching TV and the Monster literally fell off my wrist and into my lap.
If anyone has sized the bracelet yourselves, you'll know it's held together with pins and sleeves. I.E., the pin is wider at one end and slides in the link. On the other end a tiny metal sleeve slides over top the pin and is held in place my pressure.
My AD told me this: when a bracelet is held together with these types of pins, the movement of the bracelet slowly loosens the grip of the pins, and allows this failure to happen.
He said the way to prevent it (short of putting it on a strap) is to put a small drop of expoxy into each bracelet hole, to prevent the sleeves from falling out. He said to not use anything runny, like Crazy Glue, cuz it'll run into the link and seize it.
So once you're properly sized, give it a try and wear with confidence.
BTW, I noticed on Bill Yao's site he's got three new aftermarket dials available to commemorate a vintage Seiko dive watch that was likely the best/toughest they ever made. It comes in black, yellow and orange.

Did he mention any specific type of epoxy to use?

Paul, anything that is thick and won't run. I haven't yet done it, but I'm going to use standard Lepage expoxy.
He also said scale modeller's glue will work.

Dunno Sam. I really like that new orange saturation dial, but for what I want to do to my Monster, I could just get a BNIB Orange Monster for half of what it would cost me. That said, it would be nice to have a sapphire crystal on it and I would prefer to have a dial that covers up the day/date function.... Can you see I'm still not 100% sure? I likely will, but in a while. I want to see if I can pick up another black dial dive watch before I swap the monster into an orange dial.
