P.S : Hannes, do you really own a Daytona with the mother of pearl dial? Thats also white gold isnt it? how much does that cost? 30K ? wow It´s not a MOP dail and it´s no WG Daytona. It´s a SS Daytona with a Meteorite Dial

Jep, it´s nice. But I put it back to his natural color I still have the dial and the red hands. And maybe one day.... ;D

That meteorite dial with red hands is good looking Hannes, but I think I like the other one better. Call me conservative

Bruce, you're conservative.
I've seen Hanne's pic of the meteorite dial SS Daytona elsewhere (I think it was his??)... and always thought it looked absolutely amazing!!
It is technically a 'franken watch' with that dial... but it's the best looking SS Daytona I've ever seen and would wear it proudly (and I'm not a fan of Chronos - although Bruce's ex-Breguet is still my all-time fave).

Is it a frankenwatch if the manufacturer makes the substitute parts? Not sure I'd call it that John. More of a modified version, I think.

Bruce, I say frankenwatch only because Rolex doesn't offer the SS Daytona with a meteorite dial, and if you sent it into Rolex thusly for service, they'd either refuse to work on it, or in some cases possibly swap the dials, keep the rock and charge you for a new OEM dial. I still say it's the prettiest Daytona I've ever seen.

True John about Rolex. Isn't that strange though since they make the dials? Why even offer the dials if you'll refuse to work on it? They do make them don't they? Anyway, makes no sense to me, but then it's Rolex
