Since the COSC certificate is a free service provided by Omega and a nice addition to your newly purchased Omega, why not order one. It's simple. I've heard they only keep records for a certain number of years, so if you have had your watch for 5 years or so they may not have the certificate available. It's worth an email to find out though. Here is what I have done 4 times and it worked without a hitch every time. - Email aftersales@omega.ch your serial number & a photograph of the 3 cards that came with your watch. Here is a copy of one of the emails I sent Omega.... I just purchased a Planet Ocean. It is Ref # 2201.50 & Serial Number is XXXXXX. If possible, could you please send me the COSC certificate for this watch? I am attaching a digital picture of the cards that came with the watch. Please let me know if there is any other information I need to provide to obtain the COSC certificate. My mailing address for the certificate is:
Sam Bryce XXXX XXXXX XXXXX Dallas, TX XXXXX USA
Thank You, Sam - You should receive an email reply back notifying you that the certificate has been ordered....usually within 2-3 days. - You should receive an email reply when the certificate ships....usually 10-15 days. - They often throw in a few extra goodies. Recently it has been postcards & marketing literature, but a nice bonus none the less.

Now why the hell can't Rolex do that for their customers??? Perhaps it has to do with close to a Million watches certified each year? That would be a paper hangers nightmare.
