Absolutely gorgeous watch AND pic. Martyn, you have got to stop posting pics of that beauty. I don't want to like the mesh bracelet but I feel I am being slowly drawn to it ... Cheers, mate. Ron

Ron - Just for you, here is a zoom crop of how it looks on my lady wife - That's a concern for me. Showed the pic to wifey and she likes it too. I didn't think she would since she likes her Pilot bracelets so much. Now I'm in trouble.... Cheers, mate. Ron

Hi,
I tried on this new Heritage (38mm) on the mesh bracelet today.
I really REALLY liked it! It sat on my wrist perfectly and looked great. On the down side the bracelet did not seem that well made, although it could have been the protective plastic clouding the situation but the clasp was a little cheap and tinny feeling and the bezel had a very cheap "rattly" feeling when rotated!
This could be a real winner but really needs to be about 40mm with a better made bracelet and clasp.
Does anyone know what movement is in it?
Is it a good one (it is cosc so it can be bad)
The AD claimed that it was a different movement than the 46mm version but didn't know if that was only because of the sub seconds or if it was inferior etc.
Anyone?

. . . or if it was inferior etc. Anyone? How very dare you! No worries, I'll try and do some research - I don't think it's inferior just different because of the sub-minute complication. It'll be an eta base ebauch.

Sorry Martyn, no offense intended Actually I really do like this watch, however I do stand by my comments regarding the bracelet and in particular the clasp and bezel rotate. I have since found out that It has 27 jewels and it also uses the new Breitling Caliber 37(ETA 2895-2 with sub seconds) movement The 46mm Heritage has 25 jewels and it uses the Breitling caliber 17(ETA 2824-2) movement which alot of other Breitling models like the Super Ocean Steelfish and Colt Automatic uses as well. I love this watch but could not get over the tinny clasp or rattly bezel! Is yours the same with regard to the bezel being a little rattly and not as "solid" or "positive" feeling when rotated? Might still buy one though Cheers. Mac.

Might still buy one though Cheers. Mac. No offence taken . "How very dare you", is a quote from a popular UK comedy show (Catherine Tate) that you might of heard? Anyway! Back on topic: The bezel on my SOH38 is as good as any that I have - no rattling at all and very positive clicks for each of its 120 notches. I have no complaints about the bezel. Maybe your AD can get another one in for you to compare - or is thers another AD in town with one in stock? I tend to agree about the clasp - the inside is not finished as highly as my other Breitling bracelet clasps - it is not polished on the inside and doesn't seem as 'thick' - dare I say - it reminds me of a Rolex clasp - it just seems to be stamped from a sheet of thin metal and bent to shape. Having said that - the clasp / bracelet fits very well and I really like that I can adjust the bracelet to fit with just a simple electrical screwdriver. My wife wore it diving (well snorkling) end of last year - and because it has the double foldover clasp I had no problems with her wearing it in the sea. Good luck with you choice!
