Wow, How many times has your Explorer been serviced? Sent from my DROIDX using proboards My daughter had it serviced by a Rolex tech once about ten years ago and he said " really didn't need servicing but I cleaned and lubed it anyway" I was thinking of having her send it to Rolex for the full deal for me, I'd like another dial, it has some checking and the lume is gone, also the crystal has one small edge that has a very small chip most people can't see it but it bugs me, its only been there for thirty years...lol........ but so many have said to me leave it alone. it has character, haven't decided yet.....

If it runs well I say let it be. It's meant to be worn and many use Rolex as a status symbol. You don't. Let a watch be a watch. Sent from my Note 2

I agree it gives it some character, my oyster perpetual has a lot of water stains on the dial, I want to have dial refinished but a friend of mine told me I should leave it the way it is. I'm glad I did because I'm actually happy looking at my watch just the way it is and knowing how old it is.
