I really want a clean, real vintage wrist watch like the Elgin on the left a few posts above. Chip, That is a 1918 Elgin with an ENAMEL "White Star Dial", 15 jewels, sterling case made by Star. The "white" ENAMEL version of that dial is extremely rare, almost all of the "white star dials" were made of metal. This one is an exception to that rule.

I really want a clean, real vintage wrist watch like the Elgin on the left a few posts above. I'm with you on this one. I love some of his classic, vintage pieces that he's restored. Beautiful pieces of history - pure arm candy! Maybe as a birthday or Christmas present to myself. I really love the ones with with red 12's and larger dials. I just obtained a 14k solid gold buckle for one of the RAREST Elgins ever made and it has a RED 12 dial, it will arrive later on this week. When the buckle is installed on the watch I start a thread about it, the rest of the watch is 100% done, just waiting for the buckle and watch will be PERFECT !
