Hi Guys, thought You Guys might be interested in a Vintage Rolex Air King. This watch I got last Year, but sold it on as the 34mm case was a bit too small for me after wearing mostly Sub's. Now I really miss the old bugger. Was in absolute pristine condition from 1958. Rolex Air King, Model 5500, has of course the same trusty, robust 1530 Movement as the Submariners. They don't come better than this with Big Crown Logo Buckle. Enjoy the pics.

I actually thought 34 mm was a little small for me, but I feel it's a perfect size.
So you planning on repurchasing it ?

Dude, that's stunning. I can totally see why you are missing it. It really had classic looks with the gold markers on the white dial and the contrast with the brown strap rocked!

That really is a beauty! Looks really sharp with the gold hands and markers. I do think it's nice to have a smaller watch. Certainly it would make a good change for you from the Sub, although even 40mm is not too big. Maybe a 36mm OP would suit you better? I find that the 34mm has the 19mm lug width, too, which also makes it appear smaller. I think the extra 1mm to 20mm lug width gives a better wrist presence. Having said that, I do personally like the 34mm size. The other thing I love about the Air-King is the exclusive "Air-King" font on the dial. A small thing, perhaps, but I would go for the smaller 34mm AK just for that alone. Cheers Carl
