Yeah my first digicam was a Minolta and it took photos at the same 640 by 480. At the time, that was absolutely brilliant! I remember paying 700 dollars for it about 15 years ago or so. Late 90s I think. |

Yeah . . . hooray for twenty years of progress. You are right about the 50mm . . . cool and sharp lens.

Etc. Think I'd might be the 'winner' here...  Might as well update my previous post as I switched 'teams' last summer! Nikon D600 (2x) + grip Nikkor 24-70 F/2.8 Nikkor 10.5 mm circular fisheye with hood removed for 360 panoramas Nikkor 105 F/2.8 VRNikkor 70-300 Sigma 35mm F/1.4 Nikon SB-900/SB-700 Most of the tripods etc. remained. Still looking for something wide-angle. Why I dumped my Canon gear? The prices on new gear have evolved like crazy without big differences. Over here the 5DmkIII is aprox. 33% more expensive compared to the 5DmkII!!! Same goes for lenses, flashes etc. Besides that the sensor in the Nikon is lightyears ahead. |
