n. I already gave my watchmaker the 390 movement so the watch is in pieces right now. Poorly refinished dial. Nice crown guards and case. It was a relief to see the original hands still present. Most of the time if they refinish the dial the hands get replaced but the large circle second hand is still here. I have asked all my dealer and watchmaker friends who can do the best job on Tudor Rose dial and everyone has said NOBODY!! So I must hunt for a dial. I will keep this one so I don't mind a service Shield dial instead of the rose. Would be nice if it looked like this!!! A guy can dream cant he!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love that it came with a faded to blue insert.
They are hard to get and this one is nice and evenly faded

Roscoe, have you tried looking for a dial over on VRF? I haven't visited there in a while but I'm sure they'll be able to help you

I can't wait to see it, but I wouldn't settle for a shield dial though, why don't you wait and find a proper one? You'll be much happier in the long run. That's not a beater case by any sense of the word so why would you settle for a service dial? That watch is worth the wait brother.

Because a chapter ring dial is going to be $1200+ dollars.
Service dial is a few hundred.
I don't want to look down at refinished crooked junk everyday. One dark spot on my service dial which is common for matte dial and doesn't look bad at all under a crystal.
The watch lost it's original print. Can't ever be a honest watch after that. Can be honest with the service dial though,
Just a fun low cost Sub for me to keep. Nothing more
If one day a chapter fall into me lap. A chapter ring I shall have. Until then $1200 is best served putting towards the next watch I buy.

I though about getting a Vietnam or Singapore knock off blank refinished Gilt Chapter but they are the same price as the service dial. They are making really beautiful dials now. Any collector can cry about it but these dials are looking great now.
