If I was shopping I would have to go for plastic crystal Submariner of some kind.
Of these above I don't know,

I saw some nice vintage pieces in your gallery! The Submariner is slowly but surely earning more points with me again to be "the piece". This darn GMT feature is so much fun to play with though and it looks quite cool. The Sea-Dweller seems most unlikely and an LV is either hard to come by or INSANELY over priced. So as of this very moment it looks like Submariner vs GMT. In a dream world for Vintage these would be my choices, hands down: From - watchonista.com or From - vintagehour.com The Submariner has SOOO many variations worth collecting. Every single one represents a part of Rolex history that helped make them what they are today with these Oyster watches.

Well, at the moment the Sea-Dweller being out of the picture seems confirmed. As a watch I will keep for life the biggest complaint from long term users is it gets hard to see the date. Not to mention with a thicker crystal that is not anti reflective (thankfully) it can be hard to see after so many years of getting used to the 2.5x magnification of my cyclops lens. Plus for pressure testing less people might be able to do it (independent watch makers locally) than say a GMT or Submariner even. Plus prices on the Sea-Dweller seem to be the highest other than some LV Submariners. 16610 vs 16710 is where it sits for now but that alone is a hard one. A lot of it depends on what comes up for sale too once I'm ready to buy. Although not that old, the Toronto market is crap and finding what you want privately can be easier said than done. That is what forced me towards a new piece, to eliminate the hassle but after thinking back on all the memories and seeing how sought after the discontinued pieces are it should be the way to go, hands down. In a perfect world it would be SO nice to find a Z Seriel Submariner 16610 in mint condition to essentially be what I was not able to get back in 2007. Waiting on one though means a lot of other great to own pieces could get away. Really the Rolex Submariner Looks awesome. And i wish to get a piece soon. It truly does and hopefully you do ASAP! Are you considering the 16610 or the ceramic 116610? Misery enjoys company as they say so I'll have to make it a bit harder for you now so you're 1000% sure with what you buy Although the no date Submariners are not my cup of tea (so I thought) it would be nice to have in a collection. The old one we all know but DARN!
