We shall see once the seller gets back to my last message. Left my cell number etc to see when it can be picked up and all of that. Now I need to look into all the stuff mentioned, the best material to use etc and see what it will cost or who can do it for me. I also asked if he had any dealer stands as well (they he could hopefully include). If he does and I do go for it, this would make my life much easier.

I might just end up doing that. The only problem with this site is some sellers are hit and miss. I did not get a call, text or email back from him yet about when he's available to meet up. Chances are he will reply in the morning so we shall see. This would be quite cool though, for sure. Especially if I got my hands on a nice Speedmaster at the right price. The lovely thing about a lot of the Omega watches is they can be found pre owned from like $1,800.00 - $2,400.00 CAD with all warranty cards, boxes etc. So much you get for that small amount of money considering it will last generations too. Getting another Seamaster though is out of the question, even the Planet Ocean. Well, unless it is the Chronograph one with the two sub dials but those sell for closer to $6,000.00.

Funny thing is the seller still never got back to me yet I'll give it a day or two before emailing him again but it makes no sense as I simply emailed him with my cell number to get in touch with me about picking it up. If not I'll find something else to buy I'm actually quite serious about investing in silver for the long run. Want to start out with some cool coins or a few bars and go from there then diversify so we shall see

Update: Just got off the phone with the guy, he is essentially a liquidator. He bought out a few AD's and has a lot of items from various brands. Not a lot of Omega stuff but some Rolex plaques and he is getting some Patek items soon. He will be away until about Sunday night and will send me some pictures early next week. If any of the items really appeal to me this could be good.
For me though the items that mainly go into my collection are things that pair up with watches like my anchors. Depending on the prices he asks for the plaques we'll see. The thing holding me back in a way is the cash investment getting that Omega dealer display encased in it to protect it from dust over time in the house. As cool as it is, if it ended up costing me $300 for that alone I could spend that money on something more profitable or just put it towards a nice, $1,800.00 Omega watch.
