a watch case: Thank You, Roger! Just what I need! Very thoughtful. Gonna keep my Dyanmic in it. Unfortunately, you often don't get a case when you buy a vintage watch. Although I did manage to find one for my Bumper. Just in time for my upcoming birthday, too. Roger, let me know when you expect the watch will arrive Seriously, very nice gesture, I will think of you every time I use the case. Cheers Carl

When I saw it, I thought "Carl, the Omega man, needs that!" Glad you like it and have good use for it. You add so much to the Omega discussion (and other topics as well) it couldn't have found a better home IMHO.

That's nice of Roger to do that Not trying to be nosing in your picture, but is that a Glencairn Glass in the background?

Yes, it's a genuine Laphroaig one as well. Ordered a few of them, and gave some as gifts. Kind of makes the whisky tasting extra special. Cheers Carl

My favourite is the Laphroaig Quarter Cask. After being aged that long, does the whisky lose most of it's peatiness/smokiness? Cheers Carl

No not really. It's is "smoother" but the flavours of the peat and smoke are still there as they should be. I have some quarter cask as well as the 10 YO and 30 YO. Laphraoig is by far my favourite, but I enjoy many from Islay. Cheers, Al

Very nice and if there is an Omega ambassador on our forum, Carl, that's you. Indeed! Carl certainly is very passionate about the brand and it is contagious! Makes me want another one again! That was a great gesture by Roger and I can totally see why it ended up with Carl. The Omega brand always reminds me of him in the most positive way and the warm personality makes for great company on the forums! Enjoy in the best of health, Carl!
