This was my collection: I try not to miss them and get into the whole flipping thing again, somewhat. Thankfully I'm happy with what I have now BUT if given the chance to get them back...

I remember your collection, that was quite a while ago.
Its funny how we know each other and other members for a long time over this digital world.

So true! Oh how the years fly by! Going through the images on my laptop and seeing these old ones brings back great memories of my life long passion for Swiss watches

I don't have a single watch left, from "back in the day", when I really started to get an interest in watches. At one time, my biggest watch was a 45mm Breitling Seawolf. Now, my largest is the '63 Omega Seamaster, which is 33mm. And my other two are Cartier Tanks which are even smaller. No regrets about any selling or flipping, though. I was saying to Ian that I really don't miss my Rolex Explorer or my Speedmaster. I do, however, remember vividly how excited I was when I purchased each one. The thrill of those times can never be taken away! Cheers Carl

See, that's what it's all about! The fun you had buying and using those watches for the time you did. I feel the same about my past watches shown above and as much as it would be cool to get them back, I would never trade back if it meant having to give up my Explorer II.
Less is more for me, I never used to rotate watches then and figured it was better to consolidate and get what I truly desired seeing that I already had the experience buying and owning those pieces.
I know how you wanted a Cartier for a long time so there is not a doubt in my mind that you also made the right choice in regards to what you currently own!

I'm afraid to count how many watches have passed through the revolving door that is my watchbox over the last 6 or 7 years. Any one that I've sold that I missed a lot was repurchased, except for a stray IWC or two.

I have actually seen that quite often on the forums over the years as well. No shame in it, and some folks purchased the same watch 3 - 4 times. The only watch so far that haunted me enough to buy it again was the Raymond Weil. No doubt about the fact that I want another Omega after my GMT Master II but I'm not sure which one. Not to mention the new models are scarce locally in terms of the pre owned market.
