Lately the concept of a meteorite dial seemed so neat to me. The only way to make it a tad cooler is to have it in the moon watch... This thing looks stunning, I would love to someday own one. Check out these pictures various members posted on watch u seek as per the request of a member who wanted to see some shots of the 35th Anniversary of the Apollo mission watch: From other sources Google found for me From - hoene.de From - omegaforums.net From - omegaforums.net From - omegaforums.net From - omegaforums.net Absolutely breathtaking!! The fact that the dial is genuine meteorite adds so much appeal to the piece in my opinion. Just to think that a rock from outer space was used to make the dial is sweet.

I'll have to agree, that's a beauty.

Wow That is also my favourite speedy. There was two local sales that I missed last year. Now waiting on one of two to part with them. Unlikely...

I'll have to agree, that's a beauty. Certainly! It manages to maintain the classic look with a more dressy touch. For me I'm not the biggest fan of matte dials. Of all the limited edition Speedmasters (there's a ton as you know) this one takes the cake for me. Wow That is also my favourite speedy. There was two local sales that I missed last year. Now waiting on one of two to part with them. Unlikely... This watch is no doubt one to buy and hold onto. Not even for the potential value increase on it's own but it's simply amazing. Believe it or not I only found out about these meteorite dials recently. Seen them around before but did not ever look into it or the fact they were actually from outer space. Just knowing that no two dials are identical helps the situation. The contrast of the dial and sub dials is perfect. I'm not too sure what these go for when ever one comes up for sale but it has to be worth it! Hopefully one of those two in your area gets listed for sale so you can pick it up

The other was brand spanking new. Ordered from a shop in Singapore for $6500. These are very rare and doesn't come up for sale often. The price will just continue to go up up up ...

That's amazing! I really like what Omega has been doing with the box sets for their limited edition pieces. They go all out and it reminds me of Panerai or Audemars Piguet in terms of attention to detail.

In the words of the sage of Springfield.. Ay carumba! I love meteorite dials but this one is top of the tree! The only watch that would turn me onto white gold is the Daytona with meteorite, love the stuff!

Funny you should mention the white gold meteorite Daytona! That's the watch that brought this fantastic material to my attention days before posting this. Probably two of the better watches to own with meteorite dials in them. Believe it or not, this might be one Omega I would pick over a Rolex. It's in my opinion the most perfect chronograph. The regular Speedmaster watches are amazing but never really did anything for me, sadly. This thing was a game changer.

One of my favourites, too! I also really love how they did the caseback. It really has a 3D effect.
Cheers, Carl

Yet another thing I miss about owning an Omega watch. The watches I had were not as detailed as this one. This is one of those watches someone could be happy taking out of the safe and admiring it with a loupe. Of course wearing it would be even better but you know.
