I did take a look at the Victorinox website. Unless I missed something, this model quartz/Ti is not done any more. You're right,the new ones are flashier. This definitely has more appeal.
Funny thing, too: I realized last night, I have been looking at simply, black dial divers as well. Also in quartz! I especially looked at the older Omega Seamaster 300M, with the black dial and large sword hands, midsize 36mm. Not for a while, though. All my watches lately have had silver dials, so it's great to have the Monster that Ian gave me in the collection.

Well' my new watch arrived Saturday, when I was out of state. Came home today, removed 4 and 1/2 links, and it's a seriously nice watch, IMHO: Kat

That looks great Kat. I'm a big fan of Ti and the styling on that is really nice too.
