First weekend I will be wearing the Archer Sterling, first full day actually. Having a GTG with Ian soon, so he can see it and I can see his pocket watch. Cheers, Carl

That second picture looks awesome! How large is the crown is it comfortable on your wrist? The crown is quite large, but perfect in proportion to the case. It's about 12mm wide, and about 5 thick. It provides a really good grip, and the watch is so smooth to wind. I thought that the crown might catch my wrist, as I wear the watch quite low down on the wrist, but it's just fine. The way the lugs curve down, it makes the watch superbly comfortable. It just hugs my wrist, and I don't have the strap really tight, just enough so that my little finger fits comfortably in between the band and the bottom of my wrist. The strap is a German made, called Rios1931, and also very supple and comfortable. I checked out their website. They have some lovely looking pieces, and a great description and pics of their factory in Germany. I can't say enough good things about this watch. There is absolutely nothing, not even the smallest detail, that I would change. Cheers, Carl

So, this is what Ian was wearing for a while today: We had a great GTG. On the way home, I bought myself a nice bottle of Irish Single Malt Whiskey to celebrate: Who said that 2pm in the afternoon is too early for cocktails?! I got to see his lovely pocket watch, which I can't for the life of me remember the name of: West....something. Damn! Happens when you get old. It looks fantastic, way better than the pics reveal. Cheers, Carl
