Hey guys, I ordered this watch a while back, and it is now ready. This is a 40 mm mil sub homage, or, as the owner likes to refer to his designs, ISO: "in the spirit of"..... I was drawn to the look, and after reading up on this guy, the owner's attention to detail, and need for perfection, drew me in. Also, I wanted a watch with the Soprod A-10, as it is supposed to be a really good movement. One has to wait a very long time for one of Dan's watches, but, from what I've heard, it is well worth the wait. Here is a pic, that Dan sent me this morning, of my actual watch: This is my OWC 9411. I chose the midnight blue dial with a black ceramic bezel, and snowflake hands, no date. It will ship with a branded Oyster bracelet, and I ordered a branded mesh bracelet, as well. Kat

Kat, my dim memory seems to remember reading about this brand several years ago on watchuseek. Everyone was raving about the quality of the watches they received. The builder has amazing attention to detail if I remember it terms of fit and finish of his watches. I am very much looking forward to seeing this on your wrist and thanks for jogging my memory about the company.
Oh dear, I just saw the cost! Guess what I am saving up for next! What a bargain!

Just reading more. I see the base cost is with the Sea-Gull movement. i have had a couple of Alpha's with their movements and found them very reliable and accurate and the extra for a Swiss movement is very reasonable as well.

Ian,
You are correct. That is the same guy, and WUS may be where I first heard about him. More likely, I saw a pic, and loved the watch, so researched him. The only problem that folks have with him, is the lead time. Since he asks for no money, up front, that doesn't bother me, at all. He is, apparently, a very small operation, and only accepts perfection, so will scrap a whole order of parts, and start over, if he doesn't like something....

Yeah, this is what I have heard to Kat. He seems to have upped the specifications as all whilst maintaing a price if memory serves me that is about the same as it was the last time I heard about him. I think I am going to look more. Does the price include bracelet or just the head?

I believe the price includes the Oyster bracelet. He literally just finished this current batch, and probably has yet to attach the bracelets. I literally ordered this thing about 18 mos. ago, or so. it's been so long, that some folks have probably stopped waiting, so my guess is, that he has more watches, than orders.

Very cool, I was reading the owner had some problems with the quality when they first came out but I think that's since been remedied. Very cool watch indeed.

I like that a lot Kat!
I've heard of them before, from WUS as well.

I think both look great Kat. Found this picture with blue on blue. I have a thing though for black ceramic bezels, I just think they look really smart. The thing with black bezel as well with the blue dial is that it makes the blue pop more I think!

Originally, I ordered black on black, but changed my mind, as I wanted something a bit different. I asked Dan for his opinion, before making a final decision, and he said the black on blue looks really sweet....

I like that a lot. I'm going to have to search for the full specs, options and costs. I've wanted a blue snowflake for a long time but haven't found one in the right condition at a reasonable price.
